Scrum Master
Job Description
- Foster and improve team effectiveness in delivering against development goals of the organization
- Schedule, facilitate, and increase the effectiveness of Agile ceremonies for the team
- Proactively communicate team concerns related to team commitments to relevant external parties
- Foster team commitment to team-adopted processes and the continuous improvement of these processes
- Foster team member trust, morale, excitement, and engagement
- Research and provide objective metrics for team effectiveness
- Address team effectiveness blockers
- Advocate for the needs of the team with external stakeholders across the organization
- Teach, demonstrate, & guide current best practices related to the roles of team member and product owner
- Adapt and adjust various aspects of the Agile Process to handle external demands such as:
- Working with and succeeding in collaborating with non-Agile client organizations
- Working towards meeting either feature-driven or date-driven goals
- 2+ years of Scrum Master experience
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred but not required
- Ambitious innovator, ready to actively contribute beginning Day One
- Strong presentation and training skills
- Solid problem solving and analytical skills – ability to think on your feet
- A sense of self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively with limited guidance when necessary
