Project Lead (Scrum Master)

Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master and Team Lead who can lead our teams into adopting better and more efficient agile practices. We have a multi-cultural teams scattered across different time zones, which is expected to grow. Therefore, great communication, leadership, and knowledge of agile processes are a must for this position.

Additionally, the candidate possesses foundational knowledge of canonical models for enterprise-wide data domains across applications and processes. Contributes to the design and development of the canonical model in accordance with the governance standards. Works closely with other technical and functional experts to provide message and entity definitions in support of the business integration workflows.

Scope:

• Leading our Data Modeling teams.
• Can Model team Scrum Master and Team Lead

• Lead Agile Scrum Ceremonies for the Data Modeling team which consists of a team in India and North America
• Act as technical lead for the team which would manage people in North America and mentor and guide all members of the Can Model team.

What you'll do: (Responsibilities)

• Lead our Scrum ceremonies such as dailies, refinements, planning, sprint demos, etc.
• Provide accurate reports to management in terms on project completion, team velocity, current status, dependencies, blockers, etc.
• Help the team identify blockers and engage the necessary teams to clear them
• Work with the team to come up with new ideas to improve our agile practices
• Guides technical delivery (architect, design, and/or code) of the canonical model on scope, on time, and with high quality

• Raises and escalates impediments for resolution
• Develops and maintains a formal description of the business entity model and data structures in accordance with standardized modeling practices
• Interacts with other teams as necessary to help resolve internal and customer reported issues
• Designs and develops canonical models while working with 1 or 2 application teams concurrently with limited coaching
• Adheres to the governing standards for data model development

• Understands data object modeling techniques and patterns including representation approaches (such as XML and JSON)
• Collaborates with application teams to build supply chain domain knowledge
• Demonstrates general awareness of various industry governing bodies such as GS1, OAGIS, and ARTS
• Shares canonical model information across teams on a consistent basis
• Provides feedback and development experiences to the team for improvements

• Works with stakeholders to gather requirements, and helps influence the decision-making process

What we are looking for: (Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or demonstrated equivalent experience.

• Two or more years as a PM/Scrum Master
• Two or more years Supervisory experience.
• Experience working with multi-cultural teams
• Experience with modeling using XML schemas (XSD)
• Several years of experience using source control tools such as Git or SVN

• Understanding of Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP), integration approaches and transports, and knows how to apply them to the development of canonical models and workflows
• Certifications in Agile Methodologies are a plus
• Experience in Retail and Retail Planning domains a plus
• Travel - less than 10% of the time.
