Scrum Master

The Scrum Master is responsible for ensuring that the squads understand agile metrics and improve their performance in the areas of quality, predictability and velocity.
What You'll Do
- Participates in backlog grooming and sprint commitments (as needed) to ensure that the right capabilities are developed
- Works with business analysts and product managers to ensure that business objectives are understood in the features and user stories to be developed
- Facilitate sprint planning, release planning, daily stand-ups, stakeholder demos, and sprint retrospectives.
- Mentor team members on Agile/Scrum best practices and ensure the development teams are practicing the Agile principles and SCRUM Best Practices
- Oversees strategic plan, monitoring and adapting as needed
- Reports on project / Program progress, offers viable solutions and opportunities as they arise
- Works with SREs to ensure applications / systems from a security standpoint and make sure all teams are complaint
- Participate in the Testing Life Cycle by partnering with Quality Engineering
- Ensuring documentation of Test Scripts
- Log Test Issues and Facilitate Issue Resolution
- Track metrics of team progress, productivity and use the metrics to help the team get better. I.e. Velocity & volatility and Story cycle time
- Provide all support to the team using servant leadership and leading by example
What experience you need
- BS or MS degree in a STEM major or equivalent job experience required
- 5+ years of experience in IT with 3+ years in IT Project / Program management
- Experience with managing multiple projects and priorities
- Experience with Jira and AHA
- Expert in Agile methodologies. SCRUM Master certification is a plus
- Thrives in a collaborative environment. 5+ years working with balanced teams
- Experience in requirements definition, design, configuration, testing, training and implementation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and commitments in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Self-motivated, demonstrated problem solving skills, high level of determination and positive demeanor
- Solid communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written; the ability to work in a collaborative manner
- Experience Business & IT strategy, Customer-focused mindset
- Proven leadership skills, Expertise in conflict resolution
- Analytical and strong organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written ability
- Be a trusted advisor in how to setup, mature and scale an Agile setup making use of different Agile scaling frameworks.
- Empower teams to collaborate and make effective decisions promoting adaptive planning, evolutionary development, early delivery and continuous improvement.
What could set you apart
- Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
- Experience with widely successful Agile techniques such as: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
- Release Management experience
- Experience supporting teams with process improvement initiatives and solving problem
- Previous experience digging through data and pull high level reports.
