The Role

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our team who is passionate about helping software development teams do their best work and perform at their highest level. As a Scrum Master at Bloomerang, you are motivated to push teams towards continuous improvement and have experience working in a highly collaborative and fast-moving Agile environment. You will partner closely with teams to facilitate Scrum ceremonies and promote agile practices. Your key responsibilities will include removing impediments and ensuring teams remain focused on their goals while consistently delivering working software. What You Will Do

  • Engage with teams to ensure they are consistently delivering working software that furthers the strategic initiatives of Bloomerang
  • Promote the use and sustainability of healthy agile practices throughout Product and Engineering 
  • Lead Team ceremonies and ensure goals and outcomes are being met
  • Identify and eliminate any impediments or bottlenecks that could prevent teams from making progress toward their goals 
  • Monitor, and report on team metrics to identify areas of improvement and maintain predictability 
  • Collaborate with Product & Engineering leadership to track execution against objectives 
  • Create transparent communication channels among stakeholders, product managers, and the team
  • Identify and implement opportunities for the team to continuously improve their development framework and social ecosystem 
  • Develop strategies to educate and keep teams informed of their velocity to boost predictability around commitments and delivery
  • Ensure teams are setting and meeting realistic yet challenging sprint goals that bring value to non-profits 
  • Partner with your Product Manager(s) to maintain a healthy backlog with well-written user stories
  • Own and maintain the necessary workflow administration & communication tools needed for your teams to be successful (Jira, Confluence, Slack, etc.)

What You Need to Succeed

  • A passion for people and collaborative problem solving to achieve impactful results
  • A desire to lead, experiment with and enhance Scrum Team ceremonies
  • Experience in partnering with both Product and Engineering leadership
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and effective at building relationships  
  • An appreciation for individuals, interactions, and outcomes over processes and tools
  • A drive for helping teams continuously improve
  • Strong listening and problem-solving skills
  • A commitment to empowering teams towards building software solutions that help nonprofits 
  • At least 2 years experience in a highly collaborative Agile environment 

Nice to Haves But Not Required

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and improving Agile frameworks 
  • Proficient in wearing many hats for your teams, including servant leader, coach, mentor, facilitator and change agent
  • Experience developing and/or facilitating workshops and Agile training
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in implementing data-driven decisions to optimize team performance
  • Knowledge and understanding of DevOps principles and Agile best practices

Compensation

The salary range for this position is: $98,500 - $133,5000. You may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, as well as applicable employment laws.


Location

This is a permanent, full-time, fully remote position. Employees living in Indianapolis, IN are welcome to work from our company headquarters. We do not offer Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance at this time.
