Ardent is seeking a Scrum Master to join our team.  

This is a Remote position.

Position Description:

Ardent is seeking a Scrum Master. The Scrum Master will manage Agile-based development for complex IT initiatives.  Candidates should have experience working as part of a matrixed team of experienced, technical personnel, and be used to delivering success in high-visibility projects.  Applicants should have an in-depth understanding of Agile Development methodologies.

The Lead Scrum Master shall be a Certified Scrum Master with eight (8) years’ experience and a minimum of five (5) years of experience leading Scrum teams.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Day-to-day management of Agile Development efforts, including user story production, backlog maintenance, facilitation of scrum planning and review sessions, and coordination of daily stand up meetings
• Interface with Government and Contractor Product Owner representatives
• Facilitate integration of Agile Development schedule into critical Master Planning
• Resource planning and assessment within a matrixed environment
• Work to improve corporate software development best practices
• Provide reporting and feedback to ArdentMC leadership as needed

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Education, Engineering, Business, Information Technology, Technical, Business/Administration, Science, Technology, Information Systems
• Certified Scrum Master with eight (8) years’ experience and a minimum of five (5) of those years leading Scrum teams.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex requirements into actionable user stories
• Experience serving as an ‘Agile Evangelist’ in a client-facing role
• Proven ability to identify and aggressively react to program risks
• Experience working in a distributed environment
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Ability to operate autonomously
• Familiarity with DHS and the Homeland Security Mission Space is a ++
