As a Scrum Master, you will play a critical role in guiding Agile teams and facilitating the successful execution of projects. Working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, you will serve as a servant leader, removing impediments, and ensuring Agile principles are adhered to. Your strong facilitation, communication, and problem-solving skills will be essential in driving the team's productivity and support of a federal agency, with the goal of making an impact across the federal government.

What you’ll do: 

  • Act as a servant leader and facilitator for Agile teams, promoting collaboration, open communication, and continuous improvement.
  • Guide and coach the team on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and other Agile frameworks.
  • Facilitate Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Remove impediments and barriers to the team's progress, advocating for a productive and positive work environment.
  • Foster a culture of self-organization and accountability within the team.
  • Collaborate with product owners to prioritize and refine the product backlog, ensuring the team has a clear understanding of project requirements.
  • Monitor and track team performance, identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Shield the team from external distractions and interruptions, allowing them to focus on their work during the Sprint.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between team members and stakeholders.
  • Promote Agile best practices and ensure the team's adherence to Agile values and principles.
  • Champion continuous learning and professional development within the team.
  • Work with other Scrum Masters to foster knowledge sharing and consistency across Agile teams.

What you’ll need to succeed: 

  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, leading Agile teams in software development or product delivery.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, principles, and values.
  • Excellent facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive and adaptive approach to solving problems and addressing challenges.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Experience with Salesforce, MuleSoft, ESRI, .NET, AWS, authenticated access, and solving complex platform delivery challenges preferred.
  • Experience with supporting technologies, such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Microsoft Teams.
  • Scrum master certification such as Certified SAFe ® Scrum Master.
