Position Summary

Caribou Thunder is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead program Scrum teams in the adoption of Agile practices. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish program-level Lean Agile engineering and management principles and processes. The Scrum Master will play a pivotal role in driving the development and implementation of Agile methodologies, fostering continuous improvement, and providing coaching and mentoring throughout the organization.

Complete Description

As a Scrum Master at Caribou Thunder, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing standard Agile methodologies, policies, and procedures for the iterative solution lifecycle. You will work closely with the program to gather requirements and best practices, facilitating the establishment of Lean Agile engineering and management principles. Your role will involve conducting training sessions for Scrum teams, product backlog management, and retrospective training, as well as Lean Agile development training.

In addition, you will facilitate daily Scrum meetings and other ceremonies, gather and analyze Agile-related metrics, and guide iteration/increment planning. Your expertise in Agile methodologies will be vital as you provide coaching and mentoring to individuals at all levels within the organization, contributing to the successful adoption of Agile practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve standard Agile methodologies, policies, and procedures for the solution lifecycle.
  • Lead the development of Lean Agile engineering and management best practices, metrics, and audit procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions for Scrum teams, product backlog management, and Lean Agile development.
  • Facilitate daily Scrum meetings, iteration planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Gather and analyze Agile-related metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide Agile coaching and mentoring to individuals at all levels within the organization.

Minimum Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master or certification as a Scrum Master, Product Analyst, or Product Owner.
  • Experience in implementing Agile principles and practices within DoD or Federal government environments.
  • Proficiency in end-to-end Agile Engineering practices, including value streams, Scrum, or Extreme Programming across software, infrastructure, hardware, and operational environments.

Preferred Requirements

  • Familiarity with Missile Defense, Missile Warning, and Space Situational Awareness missions.
  • Experience with software development tools, including task tracking, software repositories, and continuous integration.
  • Knowledge of Agile development processes, including DevOps practices and test-driven development.
  • Certification in one or more of the following designations: Certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Certified Scrum at Scale Practitioner, Certified Agile Coach, Certified Facilitator, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Scrum Trainer, Project Management Professional (PMP).
