District Information Technology is searching for an agile professional to join our team as a Scrum Master. Our technology delivery teams work in agile ways, using a tailored set of practices from multiple methodologies including Scrum, SAFE, and Kanban. We are looking for a motivated and energetic individual to act as a servant leader in support of our teams - removing blockers, gathering metrics, and suggesting ideas to make us more efficient while maintaining our inclusive culture and positive team morale.   • Collaborates with Technical Lead and Product Analyst to break down project needs into stories and tasks, which can be added to sprint backlog
  • Facilitates creation of project delivery roadmap
  • Drives the team to high performing levels by creating a healthy Agile environment to ensure project goals are completed on time, within budget and with optimum quality
  • Assesses the scrum team's velocity for the upcoming sprint and tracks the sprint health
  • Serves as a thought leader and incorporates broader knowledge of business strategies into Agile project management
  • Schedules and facilitates meetings for the team, including sprint backlog grooming, release planning, sprint planning and daily stand ups/huddles
  • Facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution by encouraging transparency and building trust among team members
  • Promotes a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes
  • Ensures ongoing use of and adherence to policies and practices, including established Agile project management methodologies and Technology Project Standards
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations
  • Maintains familiarity with technology management best practices and IT development approaches industry-wide

Your Background
  • Bachelor's degree in related technical field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of direct work-related experience Knowledge and Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates project and risk management skills including ability to manage multiple priorities, resources, customers and management with a focus on consistency and accuracy
  • Self-motivated with excellent teamwork skills
  • Ability to think independently, make decisions and perform objective analyses
  • Possesses and applies broad and specific knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in the field of specialization to the completion of assignments
  • Ability to explain and present complex topics to senior level stakeholders
  • Certification in Agile methodologies (i.e., PMI-ACP, CSM, CSP, SA, SASM) or equivalent knowledge
