Job DescriptionÂ
Enterprise Horizon Consulting Group is seeking a dedicated Scrum Master to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and be passionate about facilitating efficient and productive team collaboration. As a Scrum Master, you will guide and support our development teams in the adoption and implementation of Agile practices, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products. This is a remote position.
Responsibilities may include:
- Organize and facilitate all scrum related meetings (stand-ups, program increment planning, sprint planning, sprint review, retrospectives, other reviews, demos, etc.)Â
- Work with the team to develop project plans, roadmaps and manage backlogÂ
- Communicate team plans, report impediments for escalation, identify risks/concerns to relevant stakeholders to help resolveÂ
- Guide and coach the team on Agile/Scrum principles and practicesÂ
- Help the team identify and remove impediments to progressÂ
- Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure the product backlog is well-defined and prioritizedÂ
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and teamworkÂ
- Track and report on project progress and team performanceÂ
- Support the team in achieving high levels of performance and qualityÂ
- Foster an environment of transparency, trust, and open communicationÂ
- Active clearance highly desired. Must be able to pass federal background check.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related fieldÂ
- 5+ years proven experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role within an Agile environment for federal or DoD projectÂ
- Significant experience and demonstrable abilities working with agile development team as follows:Â
- Facilitating daily standupsÂ
- Helping the Scrum Team maintain their product backlogÂ
- Setting up retrospectives, sprint reviews, and sprint planning sessionsÂ
- Shielding the team from interruptions during the sprintÂ
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certificationÂ
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks, particularly ScrumÂ
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skillsÂ
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challengesÂ
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skillsÂ
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teamsÂ
- Significant experience and demonstrable abilities working with product owner's SMEs and stakeholders as follows:Â
- Walking the product owner through technical user storiesÂ
- Encouraging collaboration between the Scrum Team and product ownerÂ
- Assisting the Scrum Team in estimating the effort required to complete the tasks agreed to for the Sprint
- Familiarity with IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC) a plusÂ
