Job Description

As a Scrum Master you will facilitate a team of architects, developers, business analysts, and other roles using Agile software methodologies. The project will involve developing a complex web application using Microsoft and other technologies for one of our most valued clients.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Experience with Agile processes and Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, mid-sprint reviews, sprint demos, and retros.
  • Experience coaching various team members, including product owners, to effectively use agile methodologies.
  • Practical understanding of agile methodologies.
  • Understanding of how to transform requirements into a features, user stories, and other backlog items.
  • Experience working with analysts, developers, and other team members to facilitating backlog refinement.
  • Experience working with product owners to elicit and prioritize requirements.
  • Comfortable facilitating teams to meet tight project deadlines.
  • Comfortable resolving various types of backlog related conflicts for the team.
  • Experience coordinating with other scrum teams.
  • Ability to work directly with client staff and in a team environment.

Location and Travel Details

This is a remote position with occasional travel (if needed).

Profile of Success

  • At least five years of experience working as a Scrum Master, project manager, or product owner on technical projects (Software Development, DevOps, or Big Data).
  • At least five years of experience managing work and dependencies across multiple departments.
  • At least three years of Technology Project Delivery experience .
  • Agile Delivery experience utilizing Scrum, Kanban or SAFe methodologies.
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience with risk management.
  • Knowledge of Big Data Ecosystem, data mapping, and data profiling.

Desirable Skills

  • Scrum Master certification.
