Job Description :

As a Scrum Master on the client's Tech Refresh Project, manage 2 diverse and collaborative Scrum teams (size 10-20) and facilitate improvement initiatives for the Scrum teams while improving throughput and delivering new capabilities in the IQGeo & Maximo applications. You are a partner to the business Product Owner(s) and leadership team by helping to ensure a well- developed backlog is available to your team and efficient team working agreements are established and held. You use Scrum metrics as a data point for continuous improvement and Agile ceremonies to enforce process change. You likewise seek a comprehensive view of platform health leveraging feedback, analytics, and planning to anticipate issues, reduce risk and drive change.

The Tech Refresh Project is for replacing Asset & Resource Management (ARM) that is expressly designed for use in vertically integrated electric utilities and built for purpose. The project is for ARM replacement in 2022 through 2023 with Maximo EAM (existing system) + EAM enhancements, deployment of Maximo scheduling functions, deployment of Maximo Mobile for selected field functions, and deployment of IQGeo for additional field functions + integration with Maximo EAM and scheduling functions.

Required Skills: • Understanding of Agile methodology, technologies, and frameworks to deliver solutions. • Strong communication, and facilitation skills • Strong problem-solving skills • Ability to prioritize work and make decisions based on MVP requirements • Deliver consistent progress over perfection • Strong understanding and experience using JIRA (adding components, tagging, filters, reporting) • Ability to manage multiple scrum teams and ensure teams are aligned on processes • Ability to generate dashboards and reports in JIRA • Ability to identify and recommend areas for improvement

Responsibilities: • Ensure effective and consistent Jira workflow management tool utilization, track user stories, bugs, and releases. • Ensure all stories and bugs are tagged appropriately in JIRA to ensure accurate reporting. • Surface impediments to Scrum team, manage escalations and follow through to resolution. • Lead all Agile events including Planning meeting, Storytimes, Retrospectives, and Standups. As well as any needed follow up collaboration, communication, or planning meetings for the team. • Help mature processes within the organization, maintain and refine capacity planning, sprint planning, and delivery cadence. • Drive process improvements for continuous improvement and continuous delivery pipeline automation as needed by your team. • Foster an environment where team members have a voice and freely participate in and advocate for, continuous improvement. • Proactively find ways in which to keep your team healthy, happy, and productive while delivering in a fast-paced environment • Support Product Owner(s) and Business Analysist(s) to ensure developers have a clear priority, well defined requirements, and backlog is ready for team intake. • Identify and define dependencies and risks, then helping to create mitigation and contingency plans with the team. Facilitating collaboration to resolve dependencies and risks across multiple teams and parts of the organization. • Derive and Maintain business facing delivery commitments from a release level through managing story level sprint cadence and capacity. • Build upon, and where needed, help establish consensus though DevOps and Design Thinking practices. • Lead by example and support team members accountability for Agile values of honesty, transparency, accountability, respect, and continuous improvement. • Develop and distribute basic sprint metrics to PMs, Sprint Velocity, burndown, etc. • Advocate for your team by establishing realistic boundaries while removing impediments and driving continues improvement while being flexible as critical needs arise.
