Job Description
You will primarily be responsible for partnering with product owners to ensure continuous refinement of backlog, communicating delivery of work product from the scrum team, and escalating key risks and issues. The ability to understand the big-picture view and stay laser-focused on outcomes whilst also paying attention to the details are vital.
Responsibilities
- Provide Agile/Scrum methods' expertise for high performing software development teams
- Empower the team to improve efficiency and meet product delivery deadlines by identifying and addressing impediments affecting the efficiency of the team and coaching team to remove impediments
- Guide and mentor teams through efficient self-organization to fill gaps in the Agile/Scrum framework and help scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
- Identify and evolve creative techniques and processes to enable Agile framework.
- Hold productive daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and planning sessions.
- Facilitate agile teams, apply best practices of the agile methodology, and assign and delegate tasks appropriately to align priorities with the overall schedule and team member capabilities
- Responsible for understanding the parameters of each sprint and foster timely and accurate communication throughout the life of the project
- Resolve conflicts and issue that occur
- Able to effectively run multiple scrum teams simultaneously
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
- Three plus years' experience working as a scrum master for technical software development teams
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification required
- Superb communication, teamwork, and people skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Dedication to Agile principles and practices, particularly for software Knowledge of Clean Code practices and principles such as test- driven development and pair programming Ability to prioritize
- Lead and complete projects within appropriate scope and timeframe
- Experience with various support tools such as Jira, Confluence
- Self-motivated and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction
Location: Boston MA
Salary Range - $110,000 - $130,000
