Role Overview: Could you be our next Scrum Master III? Globe Life is looking for an experienced Scrum Master III to join the team!

Using agile methodology values, principles, and practices, the Scrum Master III will be responsible for facilitating agile ceremonies and assisting multiple standing teams in delivering sprints and improving software development processes. Additionally, the role will act as a coach to business leaders, standing team members, and developing scrum masters in the organization to further the understanding and application of scrum concepts for technical implementation by standing teams. This is a hybrid position located in McKinney, TX (WFH Monday & Friday, In Office Tuesday-Thursday). What You Will Do:

• Collaborate with business tech services and standing teams on high product complexity (or multiple low to medium) deliveries.
• Coach to ensure backlog is primed and priorities are known for sprint planning.
• Assist team with decomposition of backlog into components that can be completed in a sprint.
• Facilitate scrum ceremonies and scheduling ad hoc meetings as necessary.
• Engage with business tech services and standing teams for facilitating removal of roadblocks, backlog refinement, sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and sprint reviews.
• Actively communicate sprint dependencies and resolve prioritization challenges in conjunction with other scrum masters.
• Maintain agile metrics and present teams' journey as needed.

What You Can Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT or relevant field.
• Certified Scrum Master or Advanced Certified Scrum Master preferred.
• 5-7 years' experience working on an IT project team with a minimum of 2 years as a scrum master.
• Solid knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks to deliver solutions; Scrum or Kanban knowledge required.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to present information with confidence and clarity for IT Teams to understand.
• Proven interpersonal skills with an ability to interpret and deliver information effectively to a diverse audience of professional and IT practitioners.
• Ability to coach teams that are new to agile and scrum/kanban framework.
