Job Description
Medica will host a hybrid, 12-week, paid Internship Program. Interns will have the opportunity to network within Medica and with other Interns through weekly Lunch-and-Learns and opportunities to hear from Executives. We strive to offer a well-rounded education of the inner workings of a health plan. Each internship offers a meaningful experience and impactful projects you'll be able to discuss with future employers. At Medica, we look forward to our Summer Internship Program each year.
Department Introduction:
Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join the Delivery Transformation team within Medica's IT Strategy & Planning. This is a unique opportunity for an individual who is looking to gain valuable experience and develop their skills with experienced professionals in a dynamic work environment.
The Scrum Master Intern will support the Scrum Masters and Release Train Engineers in leading the agile teams and the IT organization in iterative development practices. Learn coordination and management insights within the scaled agile framework (SAFeÒ) and coordinate execution within Program Increment (PI) schedules. Assist with metrics, reporting, and other coordinating activities. Partner with Agile Coaches to coordinate and support training classes and documentation. Expand your project management knowledge and experience with an iterative development methodology (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFeÒ).
Work Expectations:
Supporting day-to-day agile practices within the Delivery Transformation involves being an active and engaged member of the team.
Participating in training and development opportunities offered by Medica is an important aspect of the intern's role. This involves taking advantage of the various learning opportunities provided by the company to develop new skills, gain knowledge, and enhance professional development.
Support Scrum Masters and Release Train Engineers with reporting, metrics, and documentation, within the assigned agile teams.
Work with Agile Coaches to support coordination and organization for training classes, documentation and other coaching iterative development practices.
Qualifications:

This position is a Hub role, which requires an employee to occasionally come onsite to the Minnetonka office for applicable heads-up work. Frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership.
