SDET (Python Automation)

Role Overview:

McAfee is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test to work on windows-based security solution. In this position, you will work with experienced developers and security researchers to understand, validate, design automation, and deliver the engineering solutions to address the problems in today’s security landscape.
This is a remote position in India. We will only consider candidates currently in India and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.About the Role:

• Collaborate with product development teams throughout the product lifecycle to meet quality requirements and goals.
• Automate functional and non-functional tests to minimize manual efforts and reduce test duration.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks and code, ensuring robust test coverage.
• Conduct code reviews and white box testing to identify defects early in the development process.
• Actively participate in Agile team activities, including standups, planning, and peer reviews.
• Proactively identify roadblocks, collaborate with team members, and stay updated with new technologies.

About You:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science preferred, with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in Python scripting and automation framework development, with a focus beyond UI automation.
• Experienced in functional, regression, and performance testing; knowledge of soak testing is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (e.g., C++), data structures, and multi-threading concepts.
• Familiarity with Windows OS internals; experience with data center and VM management is advantageous.
• Demonstrates a proactive approach to learning and staying updated with emerging tools and technologies.
