About the Role

TheSales Executive in our Tax & Accounting Professionals Small-Mid client segment is responsible for retaining and growing their existing account base and acquiring new accounts within their geographic area of responsibility. Their territory consists of customers and prospects with 1-30 professionals. The Sales Executive position is a virtual role, requiring excellent telephone and writing skills.

The successful Sales Executive: Draws on their high level of initiative and ability to apply strong business acumen to conduct a thorough needs analysis within their accounts. Has the ability to develop trust, demonstrate their credibility with all account stakeholders through their knowledge of Thomson Reuters' products, and services and acquired knowledge of the tax and accounting industry. Tailors their client presentations to the unique needs of the individual account and articulates their proposals through ROI justification to shorten the sales cycle.

More About the Role

In this opportunity as a Sales Executive, you will:

  • Identifies the best channel for engagement with customers, defaulting to virtual for the majority of deals where value is insufficient to warrant travel.
  • Prospect new customers and close sales for an assigned geography.
  • Validates customer needs, shapes product plans and drives deals to close
  • Supports in developing and executing territory growth strategies.
  • Focuses on new logo acquisition and mid-contract upsell/cross-sell opportunities and renewals.
  • Possesses core knowledge across products within the subsegment, and engages Sales Specialists where deep product expertise is required to drive to close.
  • Understands specific customer archetypes and needs which are most prevalent within the subsegment and territory.
  • Uses an automated and insight-driven Salesforce workflow to progress deals.
  • KPIs include-Nurturing opportunities and moving more complex sales to close:

o New logo sales

o Existing 'non-named' account incremental sales

About You

You may be a fit for the role if you have/are:

  • Minimum 7 years' successful sales experience
  • Proven/consistent track record of quota attainment
  • Software as a Service Sales (SAAS) experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of sales concepts, methods and techniques
  • Excellent communication skills & presentation skills to maximize phone and virtual client meetings/presentations
  • Strong prospecting and closing skills
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Ambitious self-starter with high energy and motivation
  • Highly proficient in MS Office suite, utilizing a CRM (such as Salesforce preferred) and overall technical aptitude
  • Continuous learner, flexible and open-minded, positive attitude
  • High level of integrity and understanding of sales ethics

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following metro locations: Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $200,200 - $371,800. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: CA, CO, CT, IL, NV, TX, WA and/or remote. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $182,000 - $338,000. This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
