Job Summary:
This role optimizes Filson product information to ensure the customer can find our products on and off site, learn key product details, and discover similar products. You will measure product data quality and coverage to lead opportunities to improve collection and display of all product information. A strong understanding of ecommerce, SEO/SEM, data tagging, data analysis and management are required. The ideal candidate will be naturally curious about process, a strong communicator able to summarize the complex into the simple, and eager to own innovation led by data.
You will be measured on the growth of organic search traffic, and as improvements in on site discovery of product information. You will work alongside a smart and supportive ecommerce team to improve display of product parent/child variations, predictive purchases, AI search sort ranking algorithms, and other ways to improve discovery and conversion. Organizing information internally will be the foundation of your self-guided SEO and product discovery strategy. This role lives in ecommerce but partners with other teams in the organization such as IT, site merchandising, product designers, technical product designers, UX, retail, and digital marketing.

Responsibilities:
- Manage product data quality as the root of SEO.
- Create programs that improve display and discovery of product information on Filson.com, and off site during Google searches.
- Collaborate with product designers, buying, planning, and material sourcing teams.
- Collect and organize details about Filson products to develop content optimization strategies that use product information to improve how customers discover products on Filson.com, and how customers discover products during Google searches.
- With collaborative support from an external paid media agency owning SEM you will partner and lead internal teams in organic best practices for content strategy (keywords, trends, tagging, site placement, UX) to ensure discoverability of copy, images, motion, social, journal/blog content, etc.
Qualifications:
- Must be an expert user of a SEO measurement tool (SEMRush, Ahref, etc).
- Strong understanding of SEO, Google tag management, DTC ecommerce, and product lifecycle data.
- Seasoned data analysis and project management skills are essential for success.
- Comfortable creating sharable summaries of weekly learnings from your deep dives into Filson’s opportunities for SEO optimization based on data quality and visibility.
- Proven understanding of product catalog organization (taxonomy a plus).
- Experience managing large sets of product data in Excel, strong communication, and a spirt of innovation and self motivation.
- The ideal candidate will have familiarity in apparel merchandising with skills in project management, ecommerce, UX, and site merchandising.
- Experience working with a PLM, PIM or similar product information system is a plus, but not required.

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.

Sampling of Total Rewards Program:
- Compensation type: Exempt Salary
- Compensation: $89,000 - $115,000
- Compensation negotiated based on previous experience & qualifications
