PartsTech is seeking an experienced and innovative Search Product Manager to lead the development and enhancement of our core search and results experience. This role is crucial in defining the product vision and strategy, driving key performance metrics, and upleveling user satisfaction through cutting-edge search solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in search machine learning, A/B experimentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product design, engineering, and user research. With a focus on delivering exceptional search functionality, the Search Product Manager will play a pivotal role in aligning with business objectives, executing go-to-market strategies, and maintaining industry-leading standards in our search platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the product roadmap for our core search & results experience on PartsTech.
  • Establish the product vision and strategy for the search team. Define and own the OKRs and success metrics for the search team.
  • Develop and manage A/B experiments to improve key search metrics.
  • Collaborate with the product design, engineering, and user research teams to create and implement the search team vision.
  • Work closely with product marketing to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product initiatives.
  • Present product updates, strategies, and performance metrics to technology and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency across the organization.
  • Foster a collaborative environment where cross-functional teams can effectively work together to achieve common goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure that our search & results product innovations are always cutting-edge.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Experience with Product Information Management (PIM) system, search personalization, and query recognition.
  • Direct experience with search machine learning, or AI.
  • Significant experience working with product designers, engineers, and user researchers in a pod-like structure.
  • Experience designing and running A/B experimentation to optimize search metrics.
  • Strong understanding of search conversion metrics.
  • Significant experience with using both qualitative user research and quantitative data to identify areas of opportunity to impact product metrics.
  • Significant experience working with product marketing to help keep alignment and bring go-to-market campaigns to life.

Soft Skills

  • Confident in collaborating with and presenting to business stakeholders.
  • Excellent storytelling and presentation skills, with a proven ability to rally and influence others.
  • Customer focused and data informed.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment.
  • Experience in the automotive industry or related domains (e.g., e-commerce, supply chain management) is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • 8+ years of professional product management experience, preferably in e-commerce or marketplaces.
  • 3+ years in a dedicated search & results product manager role, or similar.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred.

Compensation: Annual Salary Range:

  • $160,000 - $185,000 USD

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, with job titles potentially encompassing multiple career levels. The actual base pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors, including location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. Please note that the base salary range may be subject to change.
