Strategic Enterprise Capabilities (SEC) is a reinvention of Nike's business. We see the opportunity to strengthen our value chain, connect the matrix, unlock new capabilities in service of the Consumer Direct Offense and elevate the strategies that encourage future innovations. The SEC team will drive end-to-end integration across hundreds of business processes, using a flexible and scalable Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that supports the retail experience of the future.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an experienced Program Director to be part of a high performing Program Management Office delivering new capabilities and value to the Enterprise. This role is responsible for providing large scale program management for critical tracks of work within the SEC program including scope, schedule, resource management, quality, risk management, dependency management and change control.
The ideal candidate is a self starter, flexible problem solver, and outstanding communicator who is comfortable learning quickly and connecting the dots across multiple functions within Nike's matrixed organization. The candidate should have substantial demonstrated experience managing large-scale programs, should be dedicated, proactive and must show the capacity to manage several concurrent tracks of work. Superb teamwork skills are essential as is the ability to build trusted relationships with key technology and business partners.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, you will be working with the SEC Tech PMO performing hands-on large scale program and project management which includes:
- Managing critical tracks of work within the SEC program including scope, schedule, resource management, quality, risk management, and change control.
- Understanding and communicating project dependencies and constraints; driving clarity of critical path tasks within SEC and with our Tech Aligned Teams
- Timely tracking, updating, and management of deliverable status, estimate to complete, dependencies, and milestones.
- Ensuring milestone/deliverable accuracy, and communicating project metrics and analytics to drive rigorous execution, enable early insight to potential issues, and support data driven decision making to ensure the project remains on course for success
- Acting as an escalation point for complex problems. Recommending and implementing corrective action, as necessary, to improve program delivery performance.
- Providing consulting to project leaders, as necessary, to drive understanding and adoption of PMO processes.
- Building strong, collaborative relationships within the team, across Nike functions, business and technology stakeholders, and partners.
As part of the SEC Tech Program Management Office, you will report to the Sr. Director of the PMO. The day to day responsibilities will include partnering with Tech Aligned Teams, SEC Teams, and the system integrator to track milestones and dependencies, elevate issues and risks, and report on program progress.
WHAT YOU BRING
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Masters degree in related field (ie. MBA, MFM, MS, other) preferred. or combination of relevant education, experience and training
- At least seven years of experience within Business, IT, or a related field.
- At least five years of program management and/or project management leadership roles.
- Expert level program management skills in delivery of large scale software implementations, experience with ERP implementations preferred
- Proven track record of being results orientated with demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals.
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to gather relevant data and information, actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas effectively, negotiate tense situations successfully, and manage and resolve conflict.
- Proven presentation and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated expertise of building consensus across business partners and technology leaders, and influencing successful outcomes.
- Must excel working in team-oriented roles that rely on ability to collaborate with others.
- Experience working successfully in a highly matrixed work environment.
- Experience working with Jira or other industry leading agile software solution preferred.
- Highly analytical with ability to leverage decision support tools and analytic models to drive data-driven decision making (Microsoft © Excel, Tableau, etc)
