Summary
The position is located in the Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation (ISN), Office of the Assistant Secretary (ISN/OAS).
ISN leads the Department of State's efforts in formulating, coordinating, and implementing U.S. policy on these issues related to the proliferation of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons, their delivery systems, and destabilizing advanced conventional weapons.

Duties
- Performs administrative tasks associated with maintaining and supporting the work performed by the Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS).
- Completes travel arrangements and prepares travel orders in the automated travel management system.
- Ensures calendars and schedules are accurate and reflect the priorities and preferences of the DAS.
- Tracks and monitors the status of memoranda and correspondence within the Bureau.

Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-08 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of this position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience planning and coordinating clerical and administrative work for an office.
- Experience maintaining scheduling calendars, screening inquiries, and responding to correspondence for senior officials or managers.
