Qualifications
For the GS-06 you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Providing assistance to resolve administrative problems
Examples of this experience may include:
- Answering phone calls; OR
- Performing quality reviews of documents; OR
- Maintaining a supervisor's meetings.
For the GS-07 you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Providing assistance and resolving administrative problems.
Examples of this experience may include:
- Answering phone calls and forwarding to the appropriate staff; OR
- Performing quality review and making corrections of documents; OR
- Maintain and adjust a supervisor's meetings as need; OR
- Ensuring the accuracy of data in reports.
For the GS-08 you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Resolving administrative problems.
Examples of this experience may include:
- Answering phone calls and forwarding to the appropriate staff; OR
- Performing quality review and making corrections of documents; OR
- Maintain and adjust a supervisor's meetings as need; OR
- Ensuring the accuracy of data in reports, identifying and correcting errors.

- Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9. Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S.
- Obtain and use a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel.
- The employment of any candidate, including a current employee or a new hire, selected for this position is conditioned upon review/check of the candidate's tax compliance. Further, all TIGTA employees are subject to an employee tax compliance program to ensure that employees fulfill their personal tax responsibilities.
- This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting." Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time.
