Section Manager, Hardware Engineering

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Derive yearly targets for Key Results Areas (KRA) with respect to the following: design performance, growth and sustainability, and training and development
• Organizes bi-weekly or monthly team meeting to be able to review periodic accomplishment of planned goals, objectives and other measurable.
• Formulate and implement plans and guidelines to optimize and improve design process, design output and quality, and overall team’s productivity
• Initiate, establish, manage and report a robust training program for assessing and improving associates skills and capabilities
• Establish, manage, maintain and communicate Key Performance Indicator (KPI) status and improvement plans on a monthly basis
• Interface with US counterparts on the management and schedule of designs and Test Engineering Documents (TED) modifications and updates
• Prepare, review, and recommend the manpower need of the team
• Act as lead person for recruitment and employee retention
• Conduct and approve performance appraisal and laddering of Section Head and other direct reports

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• B.S. Degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering
• At least 15 years of hands-on experience in hardware design— schematic capture and PCB design
• Proficient in PCB design using Altium Designer is preferred.
• Knowledge in Cadence Allegro platform would be advantageous
• Know-how on AutoCAD platform would be advantageous
• Literate in use of computer and office software
• Electronic circuit design and analysis
• Extensive knowledge in Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) PCB design
• Extensive knowledge in Schematic creation.
• Extensive knowledge in schematic entry and PCB layout using Altium Designer software.
• Extensive knowledge in component datasheets and BOM generation
• Familiarity with generation of Gerber files and Test Equipment Documentation
• Extensive knowledge in PCB fabrication processes and PCB Design for Excellence-DFx
• Project management
• KPI management and improvement
• Able to make analytical approach and high quality decisions in a fast paced environment
