We are seeking a Product Strategist at the Vice President level to join our Product Strategy team in New York within the Global Securities Lending business. The Product Strategy team plays a critical role in the Securities Lending business by working directly with BlackRock's clients and key partners to help enhance understanding of the securities lending market, as well as helping drive the future direction of BlackRock's Securities Lending business. The successful candidate will help us achieve this mission through close collaboration with our clients, colleagues and partners across the firm.

What will you be doing?

• Provide quantitative and qualitative analyses to assist the securities lending business and our clients, with a focus on supporting the US mutual fund iShares board relationships
• Lead short term projects related to a variety of different initiatives for the securities lending business.
• Use writing skills to produce top-quality presentation decks for internal and external presentations
• Coordinate with internal partners including trading, cash management, legal & compliance, operations, and risk, regarding investment commentaries, ad-hoc client inquiries and in support of a variety of different business initiatives
• Work with our data and analytics team to help interpret trends, build reporting and craft commentary and actionable insights for clients and internal teams
• Use coding skills (if applicable) to enhance daily processes and help drive future innovations in the lending business
• Managing workstreams related to the US fund boards, on a day-to-day basis, with support from senior team members, to ensure that they are delivered to a high standard and on a timely basis

What are we looking for?

• University degree and a clear passion for BlackRock and financial markets
• Minimum 2 years professional work experience in financial services or consulting. Additional experience required if VP.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects within agreed timelines
• Good interpersonal skills and someone that enjoys building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, colleagues and partners across the organization
• Strategic and analytical problem solver with excellent written and quantitative skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex concepts in simple terms
• Strong analytical skills
• Practical experience with programming languages such as SQL and Python a plus but not required
• Analytical individual who enjoys working closely with data, technology, and other people, and is also comfortable pursuing new ways to solve problem
• Results driven with a high level of attention to detail

Our hybrid work model
