Job Description Summary
We are seeking a securities clearance and settlements specialist to join our US Broker Dealer Operations Team in Nashville, TN. The department's primary responsibilities include reconciliations of key functions in support of securities operations regulatory obligations and oversight, managing daily oversight of stock record, failing trade management, international securities custody and controls, US stock loan processing, as well as possession or control oversight of all assets held in custody in accordance with industry regulatory requirements. The individual is expected to perform daily, and weekly reviews of reporting and controls performed by our outsourced team with responsibility for oversight of related outsourced services.

Role Description
The securities operations clearance and settlements specialist role provide functional management and oversight for several regulatory operational controls and processes within the broker dealer. Fast paced daily workflow with many varying touchpoints and highly sensitive transactional responsibilities.
Applications and business or enterprise functions the role supports
This specific role is supporting the global broker dealer which manages clearing and settlement as well as custody and support of assets for our private client business as well as our sell-side business. include, but are not limited to: managing many key controls and reconciliations in adherence with industry standards, communication with the business as well as other operations team members and leading daily meetings with our outsourced teams.
Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Managing key controls and reconciliations in adherence with industry standards
- Communication with the business as well as other operations team members
- Managing problem escalation daily between BPO outsourcing team and internal stake holders (trades, sales, legal, compliance, etc.)
- Overseeing Broadridge BPO outsourced teams
- Dealing with auditors annually on SOX, FINRA, SEC and other key audits
- Role is 3 days in the office and 2 work from home
- Hours are 7am CST to 4pm CST

Job Qualifications (The ideal candidate should have the following)
An ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong desire to learn new processes and grow within the organization.
Qualifications, Experience, Education
- The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree with 3-5 years' experience in a financial services firm or related environment. Strong knowledge of broker/dealer operational concepts in any or all areas would be beneficial: Stock Loan, Stock Record, DTC, Segregation of customer assets. FED settlements, 15c3, Bony system
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment and possess the desire and ability to learn quickly and apply concepts within the framework of the role
- Candidate should plan be able to obtain a FINRA Series 99 Operations Professional License within 6 - 9 months of employment date.

- Candidate must be able to start work at 6:45AM through 4:00PM, start of day has many key tasks which are time sensitive as the industry utilities are based on the EST time zone
- Very strong technical skills and extreme attention to detail with the innate ability to multi-task
Skills
- Strong Communication both oral and written, highly proficient technical and analytical skills
Special Knowledge (if applicable)
- Understanding of securities operations clearance and settlements along with industry utilities DTC and/or Broadridge BPS applications is a plus.
