Securities Trading Associate

Job Description

Position Purpose:

We are looking for a recent college graduate to join our Miami team to support in trading and daily operations of our international client base. Primary responsibility will be to provide support to the Sales and Trading team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with day-to-day demands of Latin American team
• Facilitate the successful on-boarding of new accounts
• Work with operations on unmatched trades and fail to deliver
• Research and resolve differences between the trading systems and custodian
• Back-up traders on equities, futures, and options execution
• Balance the P&L of Trader accounts, as a back-up to our Finance department
• Distribute research and marketing materials as needed
• Organize data, phone lists and stock holdings to help sales cover their accounts

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of financial markets (Minimum of 1 year related experience or internship)
• Fluent Portuguese Speaker a MUST
• Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Business or related course work
• Strong Excel Skills (VBA, Pivot Tables, Macros)
• Able to think quickly, troubleshoot and problem-solve in real-time
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Superior organizational and retention skills, telephone etiquette and listening skills
• Eagerness to learn new products and technology
• Hold Series 7 and Series 63 (or will obtain tests after hire)

• Climate controlled office environment
• Minimal physical requirements other than occasional light lifting of boxed materials
• Dynamic, time-sensitive environment
• Travel as required
