Security Analyst

Grow your career as a Security Analyst within Trisept Solutions, one of our 14 industry-leading brands. The purpose of this position is to protect Apple Leisure Group's Data Assets at rest and in transit. In this role you'll perform day to day security operations and support of corporate wide security initiatives. As a Security Analyst, you will provide technical leadership in the security domains to all internal users, customers, and third party vendors and you will work with the security team to maintain and uphold all security compliance requirements.

A successful Security Analyst will:

• Assist with the daily operations of the security team that help provide the end to end protection across the organization.
• Think outside the box for troubleshooting attacks and vulnerabilities the other team members may not see or have thought of.
• Develop applications to help streamline day-to-day operations to an automated process encapsulating all security requirements around PCI and security best practices. Ability to think outside of the box for troubleshooting attacks and vulnerabilities.
• Manage/Monitor the monthly discovery, testing, triage and remediation (patch management) process for all critical systems and infrastructure.
• Provide expert advice and consultancy to customers on risk assessment, threat modeling and fixing vulnerabilities.
• Perform application penetration testing in web and mobile applications, OS, hardware, databases, wired and wireless networks, etc.
• Stay informed on security trends and new technologies that will improve current and future network, system, and data security postures
• Assist in the triage, coordination, and response to information security incidents, and respond to information security related service requests
• Assist in the maintenance of intrusion detection or prevention systems (IDS or IPS) signatures and policies, including modifying or adding custom IDS policies and signatures
• Manage daily security administration tasks, including account permissions, audits, reporting
• Work with system owners to take preventative or corrective actions based on threat analysis
• Identify misuse, malware, or unauthorized activity on monitored networks and systems
• Support information security initiatives from creation to delivery
• Consultant to other areas of the business as an information security subject matter expert and flag possible information security issues
• Conduct computer forensic investigations and electronic discovery requests using proprietary methodologies and forensic tools
• Assist of vulnerability assessment software
• Conduct software application vulnerability scans
• Utilize and embrace Apple Leisure Group's core values, concepts and tools

A successful Security Analyst will have:

• Degree in Computer Science. MIS, or related fields; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years' experience in a technical or operational role with a strong information security focus
• Security related certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, RHCSA, CompTIA Security+ Linux+, GIAC, GCIH, GCFA, GCIA, GPEN, GNFA, GCUX, CEH
• Working experience with security governance, risk and compliance
• Knowledge and expertise with a high level and emphasis on security best practices. Asking the right questions and providing the right background information to support decisions involving security.
• Proven history of working in a position of trust
• Proficiency in conduction live analysis on networks, and multiple platforms
• Working experience with intrusion detection or prevention systems (IDS or IPS)
• Operating system knowledge in Linux (SUSE), Windows
• Network knowledge desired (IDS/IPS, Routers, etc.)
• Encryption experience
• Installation, configuration, and monitoring of security systems
• Understanding of advanced security protocols and standards
• Experience with software and security architectures
• Experience with security practices of Intranet and Cloud Computing
• Knowledge of operating systems
• Conceptual knowledge of software development lifecycle processes
• Excellent interpersonal, consultative, and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent organizational, planning, facilitation, and prioritization skills
• Ability to solve problems under time constraints
• Experience with penetration, vulnerability and application testing tools
• Experience with Compliance Requirements such as PCI, HIPAA, SOX, GLBA, ISO 27001/27002
• Strong statistical, analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of database, applications, and/or web server design and implementation and familiarity with OWASP TOP 10 vulnerabilities and CIS Controls.
