Security Consultant: Microsegmentation

You will apply your technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing the client’s organization with the cognitive solutions that are making IBM the fastest growing enterprise security business in the world.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Skilled Micro-Segmentation Specialist candidate require to manage BAU and Implementation projects for micro-segmentation using VMWare NSX and Nutanix Flow technologies. As a Micro-Segmentation Specialist candidate requires to play role in enhancing network security posture by isolating workloads and applications through effective segmentation strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Design implement and manage micro-segmentation strategies using VMware NSX and Nutanix Flow to enhance network security and reduce attack surface. Must be having hands on experience on vRNI and NSX Manager Flow etc.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application architectures and business requirements to develop effective micro-segmentation policies.
• Analyze network traffic patterns and application communication flows to identify opportunities for segmentation and security optimization.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to micro-segmentation policies network diagrams and configuration details.
• Monitor and troubleshoot NSX and Flow configurations to ensure continuous and reliable segmentation across the infrastructure.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices related to micro-segmentation network security and virtualization technologies.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams regarding micro-segmentation and NSX-related queries.
• On-board applications on micro-segmentation platform analyse traffic and based on observations; deploy control policies
• Maintain compliance and provide audit reports as per bank requirements

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Proven experience in designing and implementing micro-segmentation strategies using VMware NSX and Nutanix Flow.
• In-depth knowledge of network architecture security protocols and virtualization technologies.
• Strong understanding of firewall policies routing and switching
• Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP-NV) Nutanix Certified Services Security and Governance (NCS-SG) NCM[MCI] Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python PowerShell) for automation and customization of NSX / FLOW configurations.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network-related issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
