Security Engineer

MANDATORY SKILLS: Bachelor's Degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or similar degree or equivalent documented combination of training and experience. An additional four (4) years of additional technical experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
Current in at least one of the following 8570 IAT certifications:
CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP or ability to obtain within 6 months of starting on the program
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.
Seven (7) years of experience in a technical role, providing technical expertise for software intensive projects and programs, of which a desired two (2) years within the .
Experience managing and maintaining System Security Plans (SSPs) from inception through decommissioning following the Risk Management Framework process for national level mission systems.
Coordinate with program management and other stakeholders to track and maintain risks associated with multiple mission Information Systems to ensure compliance with all IA requirements and national level directives.
Experience with analysis, disposition, and evaluation of both hardware and software in support of ( ), Department of Defense, in addition to Federal Sector Government Agencies.
Experience with Nessus Manager, Security Center, and Linux command line
Security Clearance Required:
TS/SCI with polygraph is required

OPTIONAL SKILLS: Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration:
Current in at least one of the following 8570 IAT Level III certifications:
o CASP, CISSP, CISA, GCED, GCIH or GSEC
Knowledge of Cloud Architecture and Cloud Security implementation
Knowledge in Multi-level Security/Cross Domain systems and operations with special requirements such as Program Protection, Anti-Tamper, Red/Black Separation and OPSEC are assets.
Experience in the management and maintenance of systems required to satisfy the Certification and Accreditation requirements under the proprietary standards , NIST 800-53, and the CNSS 1253 is highly desired.
