Security Engineer

We are a multi-disciplinary team with a wide variety of skills and responsibilities including Linux, macOS or Windows systems security, network security, application security (web, desktop, mobile), and overall security architecture. • You will create and operate security tooling and scripting
• You will locate weak points by breaking into systems
• You will build monitoring, detection, and alerting capabilities
• You will find innovative and creative solutions for our unique security needs
• experience with risk based prioritization 
• being flexible with interrupt driven work, effectively communicate deliverables, artifacts, etc. to stakeholders

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience
• 5+ years of industry experience with a focus on Security 
• You are a team player who is considerate of others
• Enjoy working independently in a fast-paced environment
• You use excellent interpersonal skills, on both technical and non-technical issues
• Desire to take Dropbox even further

Many teams at Dropbox run Services with on-call rotations, which entails being available for calls during both core and non-core business hours. If a team has an on-call rotation, all engineers on the team are expected to participate in the rotation as part of their employment. Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). 

If you are assessed at the IC3 level, below are the current Salary/OTE ranges (Subject to change):
C$161,500 - C$190,000 - C$218,500 

If you are assessed at the IC4 level, below are the current Salary/OTE ranges (Subject to change):
C$177,200 - C$208,500 - C$239,800
