We're looking for a Security Engineer to join the Data Protection team at Snap Inc!
What you'll do:

• Develop long-term technical roadmaps and articulate a forward-thinking technical vision in collaboration with other security and privacy engineering teams.
• Architect security solutions for data protection such as identity and access management to address security weaknesses, and work with relevant stakeholders to implement them.
• Design, implement, and scale critical engineering solutions and services to support Snap's most strategic initiatives.
• Conduct in-depth security reviews of online services, stream/batch data processing platforms, and storage solutions, while formulating tooling solutions and recommendations to reinforce privacy and security measures across data lifecycle.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Proven experience in either owning a roadmap or serving as the end-to-end owner for an area in security and privacy of a large and important security or privacy process, policy, or initiative.
• In-depth knowledge and expertise in cloud identity and access management security solutions.
• Excellent programming and software design skills, including debugging, performance analysis, and test design.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent years of experience.
• Familiarity with cloud services and platforms like Google Cloud, Workspace, AWS.
• Security solution architecture experience: Expertise in designing and implementing security measures, notably in identity and access management. Collaborated with teams for security solution deployment.
• 11+ years of software development experience.

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) :
The base salary range for this position is $230,000-$335,000 annually.
Zone B :
The base salary range for this position is $219,000-$318,000 annually.
Zone C :
The base salary range for this position is $196,000-$285,000 annually.
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
