HOW YOU WILL SOAR:
The Security Engineer I empowers business leaders to continue to grow our business securely and our clients to achieve financial wellbeing with confidence. We are a cloud enterprise, with critical services delivered in hybrid cloud environments and emerging cloud-based data warehouse.
This role will build and examine reports, data, and analytics to identify suspicious activity and threats. The Security Engineer I is expected to identify, mitigate, and respond to threats against the security, confidentiality, and integrity of our systems by maintaining and enforcing existing controls and business continuity processes. This role will be responsible for immediate response to employee and stakeholder emails, phone calls, and ad-hoc inquiries.

• Collaborate across the enterprise to interpret, analyze, and report findings in accordance with security directives
• Triage requests, apply playbook driven solutions, initiate potential incident investigations through assignment to security engineers and assist security engineers
• Assess risks that could affect the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of data, systems, or services
• Work with the security and applications teams to develop strategies and plans to enforce security requirements and address identified risks such as documenting and updating IT Security SOPs
• Experience with tools such as Defender, BitLocker, Nmap, Intune, or Okta
• Work cross-functionally with other internal business units, such as, compliance and operations
• Help collect, analyze, and report on IT security key metrics
• Build processes supporting secure service delivery, supporting our DevOps teams.

IF YOU HAVE SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING, APPLY:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Software/Computing Engineering, Applied Mathematics or related field
• Technical Certifications a plus (Security+, PenTest+, SSCP)
• 1 - 3 years of applicable experience
• Possess a combination of technology , security , and analytics skills
• Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry preferred
• Intellectual curiosity to find new and unusual ways of how to solve cyber security issues
• Ability to approach cyber security challenges while keeping an eye on what is important
• Experience interpreting, analyzing, and maintaining systems
• Ability to creating and maintaining respectful, strong working relationships with both IT and business units to integrate security principles with business operations
• Strong client service orientation
• Ability to prioritize, plan and take initiative and be highly self-motivated
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; positive attitude; ability to work as team member
• Experience in a high availability environment preferred
• Knowledge of NIST and CIS practices and frameworks preferred
• Strong vendor management skills preferred
