We're looking for a Security Engineer to join the Infrastructure Security team at Snap Inc!
What you'll do:

• Design, architect, and implement security controls and frameworks for securing Snap's backend services and cloud infrastructure
• Influence a wide range of production security, including visibility, hardening, identity, authentication, networking, and deployments
• Conduct in-depth security reviews of applications, back-end services, and business integrations
• Identify, triage and drive the remediation of vulnerabilities and misconfigurations for cloud resources or Snap's backend services
• Mentor juniors in the team and guide them in making design choices that lead to the highest standards of operational excellence for the services built by the team
• Be a champion for security and user privacy

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Solid development skills in at least one of the following languages: Go (preferred), Python and/or Java
• Security knowledge of one or more domains and technologies: Kubernetes, container, Service Mesh, operating system internals (preferably Linux)
• Experience deploying services in a multi-cloud environment, particularly Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform
• Knowledge and experience working with authentication and authorization protocols/frameworks (OpenID Connect, OAuth, or Identity Federation)
• Experience with cloud security tools like Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) solutions, and/or native AWS/Google Cloud platform security services

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent years of experience
• 7+ years of software development experience

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) :
The base salary range for this position is $205,000-$295,000 annually.
Zone B :
The base salary range for this position is $195,000-$280,000 annually.
Zone C :
The base salary range for this position is $174,000-$251,000 annually.
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
