Security Engineer (Senior)

Who We’re Looking For (Position Overview):

Spry Methods is on the search for a Security Engineer (Senior) to join our team in Huntsville, AL.

What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities):

• Design, implement, and maintain security architectures and frameworks
• Conduct security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability analyses
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle

What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):

• TS Clearance is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a related role
• In-depth knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security frameworks
• Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, antivirus software)
• Strong understanding of network protocols, web application security, and cloud security
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar are preferred
