SECURITY GUARD - (Overnight Sunday shifts from 8pm-8am)

POSITION SUMMARY Maintains safe and secure environment for Residents and employees by patrolling and monitoring campus. Responds to calls for assistance after hours via Emergency Alert System and/or phone call. ***12 hour overnight Sunday 8p to 8a shift only available *** ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry. • Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers; summoning assistance from 911 if necessary. • Answering calls for assistance from Residents and visitors. • Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations in all campus buildings. • Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts • Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions • Other duties as assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Proven experience as security officer or guard preferred • Excellent surveillance and observation skills • Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems • Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense • High School diploma is required Job Type: Part-time Pay: $16.00 per hour Schedule: • 12 hour shift • Holidays • On call • Overnight shift • Weekends as needed Work Location: In person
