JOB SUMMARY: Greet and direct clients’ customers, staff and guests.Observe and report activities and incidents at the facility and providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Security Officers support our clients in providing competent, professional and caring security services by provide front facing customer-focused services to our clients.
Two (2) interviews are required for this position. Initial selection interview followed by onsite company/client interview.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
· Card Valid NYS Security Guard License
· Must be at least 20 years of age
· High school diploma or GED equivalent
· Posses FDNY FO4 Fire Guard certification / card
· Must have reliable means of communication and transportation
· Strong interpersonal communication skills
· Dependable on time work performance
· Prior Security and / or Military experience a plus
· Must be available to work evenings / weekends
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time
· Must have exceptional Customer Service Skills
· Must be able to verbally de-escalate situations
· Must be able to understand the English language and communicate it effectively in both the verbal and written form
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Follow and carry out all instructions of supervisors and on-site client management.
· Observe and report unusual circumstances and/or suspicious individuals
· Detect defective doors, windows, locks, lights, and fire safety equipment while making periodic checks of the entire building.
· Respond quickly to emergency calls, alarms, disturbances, and potentially hazardous conditions and/or activities.
· Deter unlawful entry onto the premises by undesirables and individuals with negative intentions.
· Maintain a professional demeanor while leading staff and aiding customers, employees, visitors, and guests in various situations
· Monitor the facilities environment, with the ability to detect suspicious and unsafe activity
· Write routine detailed log book entries and incident reporting
· Responsible for becoming familiar with incoming and outgoing traffic, know the customers staff visitors, and guests
· Know the building policies and procedures and maintain full compliance
· Become familiar with and follow established emergency action plan, procedures, fire protection, and safety standards and monitor alarms / systems as required
