Security Officer - Casual Float Pool

Scripps Health Administrative Services supports our five hospital campuses, 31 outpatient centers, clinics, emergency rooms, urgent care sites, along with our 17,000 employees, more than 3,000 affiliated physicians and 2,000 volunteers. This is a casual, float pool position with a varied shift and schedule in San Diego. Will require flexibility and floating to all of our hospital and clinic sites as needed. Must be able to work a minimum of 4 shifts per month. The Security Officer supports Scripps Health through the performance of duties which provide a reasonably safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, employees, medical staff, and property. Is a visible deterrent to criminal activity and actively patrols assigned areas. Ensures policies and procedures are carried out and reports non-compliance. Responds to emergency situations and when appropriate provides guidance for the safe management of the situation, communicating with leadership as necessary. Work is accomplished under the direction of security leadership. Demonstrates a work style that reflects the mission, vision, and values of Scripps Health. #LI-JS1 Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification/Registration: • AHA BLS. • CA driver license. • CA BSIS CA Security Guard. Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: • Proficiency with Microsoft Office. • Associates Degree. • 1 years security, law enforcement, military, or related. • Completion of POST PC 832 Laws of Arrest. Position Pay Range: $24.00-$28.28/hour
