Security Officer - Part Time

***This position is a part time (day shift) position*** Summary As a Security Officer at Shannondell at Valley Forge, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our residents and staff. Responsibilities • Monitor premises to prevent and respond to security breaches or emergencies. • Conduct regular patrols of the community to ensure safety and security of residents and property. • Manage access control by monitoring entry points and verifying credentials. • Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, or emergencies, providing first aid or CPR as needed. • Maintain surveillance through CCTV systems, documenting any suspicious activities. • Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary to ensure community safety. • Provide assistance and guidance to residents regarding safety protocols and procedures. • Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts. Qualifications • Proven experience in security or law enforcement roles is preferred. • Strong conflict management skills to effectively handle challenging situations. • Familiarity with surveillance systems including CCTV is an asset. • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism. • Excellent observational skills with attention to detail. • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents and staff.
