Job Description
Job Overview:
The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
β’ Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain a secure and safe environment
β’ Enforce rules, regulations, and policies to ensure the safety of individuals and property
β’ Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances or suspicious activities
β’ Provide assistance and support to customers, employees, and visitors as needed
β’ Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records
β’ Conducts regular walk-throughs and security inspections for assigned area.
β’ Checking employeesβ bags and other items as they enter and using the portable metal detector to wand employees before exiting the building and checking in/out guests
β’ Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
β’ Previous experience as a security officer or similar role preferred.
β’ Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively
β’ Ability to quickly assess situations and make sound decisions
β’ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
β’ Able to write daily activity reports
β’ Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Ability to work with confidential and classified information.
β’ Must be 21 and have or be able to obtain a PILB card.
β’ Those with military or law enforcement background encouraged to apply.
β’ Law enforcement experience or training is preferred but not required

β’ The individual is regularly required to stand; handle or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms
β’ The individual is frequently required to walk, talk, hear, kneel, or crouch
β’ Ability to read, count and write accurately to complete documentation and reports
β’ Must be able to see, hear and speak in order to communicate with employees and customers
Working Environment and Conditions:In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.
β’ While performing the duties of this job, an individual may be exposed to high temperatures (non-weather)
β’ While performing this job, the noise level in the work environment is moderate to high
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
