Are you passionate about the chance to bring your technical experience to a digital organization? The Information Security and Risk Management (ISRM) organization is seeking a Security Operations Analyst, to join our growing Security Engineering team. This candidate will join a team that manages our security controls and technologies supporting securing Thomson Reuters' environment from cyber threats.

About the Role

In this opportunity as a Security Operations Analyst, you will:

  • Monitor cyber security alerts to help determine prioritization and create event/incident cases.
  • Drive network security monitoring and incident response for a global enterprise network
  • Collaborate with other ISRM teams to provide feedback on cyber security detection and alerting capabilities.
  • Perform malware analysis through open-source and vendor-provided tools
  • Help drive SOC process and procedure improvements and enhancements.
  • Perform regular threat hunting by utilizing security tools and intelligence information to identify and remediate potential security threats.

About You

You're a fit for the role of Security Operations Analyst, if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or other related courses or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years' experience working in a SOC or on an incident response team
  • Experience performing security investigations across different platforms including OS, networks, cloud, messaging, etc.
  • Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary groups and stakeholders when managing or investigating security incidents.
  • Experience working with various security tools including SIEM, EDR, AV, forensics, firewalls, cloud, SOAR, etc.
  • High level knowledge of cybersecurity attack and defense techniques and frameworks.
  • Interest in continually learning and developing new cybersecurity skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with cloud cybersecurity tools is a major plus.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, GCIH, GIAC
    • Experience working with cloud cybersecurity tools
    • Experience with automation and scripting tools/techniques.
