Job Description

Elwood is seeking a Security Operations Engineer to join our SecOps Team based in London where you will contribute to the development and security requirements of the London office whilst working closely with the Engineering and DevOps Teams.

• Help expand our roadmap for improving security in a high growth environment
• Write threat detection strategies, lead investigations and incident response, and make sure we're remediating afterwards
• Develop security initiatives and roll them out across the business to improve our ability to respond and remediate security events faster
• Continually assess our security, highlight strengths and weaknesses, and help make our organisation safer for our employees
• Participate in supporting major external security certification and compliance attestation initiatives
• Own and perform application security vulnerability management
• Provide technical knowledge at all stages of the SSDLC
• Assist in designing cloud based solutions and applying security principals
• Automate remedial fixes in GCP for any issues e.g. security non compliance

Qualifications / Knowledge

• 5+ years of experience
• Knowledge of configuring centralised logging and alerting
• Knowledge of configuring application firewalls
• Knowledge and experience of cloud specific security challenges, designs, solutions and tooling
• Knowledge of security at all levels such as physical, data at rest, data in transit, networks, firewalls, public key infrastructure and DDOS
• Solid knowledge of securing a GCP based environment including network & IAM
• Familiar with using Terraform to delivery Infrastructure as Code
• Familiarity with identity providers e.g SSO, SAML, OIDC and IAM
