TXPSI | Government Services Division is hiring for the following positions:Please read entirety of solicitation Full Time Security Sergeant: $48,100 (48 hours/week) Location: Austin, TX Requirements: Sgt / Level 4 Personal Protection Officer 1. Level III training course shall be completed for a commissioned officer license. 2. Level IV training course shall be completed for a personal protection officer license. 3. Have completed training in de-escalation courses specifically designed for Security Professionals. 4. Have completed training in physical restraint courses specifically designed for Security Professionals. 5. Be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. 6. Have at least two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory role.(MUST SHOW A TOTAL OF 2 YEARS OF AFFILIATIONS ON TOPS) 7. Possess a valid driver’s license. Additional Requirements: 1. Must have all gear necessary. 2. Must have reliable transportation. 3. Must have Social Security Card. 4. ***Must have clean criminal background*** 5. ***Applicant must not have a history in regards to being investigated for allegedly abusing, neglecting, or exploiting a child, a person who is elderly, or a person with disabilities*** Scope: Officers will be tasked with providing security for children and youth located in temporary living conditions for State Agency. Minimum of 48 hours per week. • Officer will jointly assist Agency staff with de-escalation of Child and Youth when requested by Agency to prevent risk of harm to Agency staff, Child or Youth, or themselves. • Utilize skills and abilities as an Officer (including restraint and compliance techniques) to intervene when necessary to ensure the safety of Agency staff and any Child or Youth. • Accompany and assist Agency staff, who will be responsible for the Child or Youth’s care, when transporting Child or Youth to placements within the State of Texas.
