Summary:
The Security Services Delivery Manager (SSDM), is a role within the Network and Security Services team that leads security technology lifecycle planning, organizational resource planning, operational health assessment and reporting, and strategic planning and alignment for major security initiatives. The SSDM will drive operational excellence for all security services, providing detailed periodic reporting and readouts to senior leadership on the performance and efficacy of all network and security systems and tools. They will ensure our systems and tools are selected and deployed in such a way as to maximize the return on investment for network and security technology while closely aligning with our strategic and architectural roadmaps as well as our regulatory and policy requirements. While this role will be an individual contributor, the SSDM will have authority to influence technology selection and review, hold all CISO teams and vendors accountable to our goals, roadmaps, and standards, and will have the responsibility to ensure strategic alignment with IT and Product Engineering organizations for major initiatives and resource prioritization.
The SSDM will be responsible for closely managing the performance of our Network and Security vendor portfolio, holding periodic business reviews with our top vendors driving their performance through vendor scorecard exercises. This role will hold our vendors accountable for providing appropriate roadmap reviews, license reviews and rightsizing, renewal planning, and all coordination with Procurement and finance to ensure purchase orders are issued in a timely manner, invoicing is received and processed according to agreements, and forecasting is accurate for vendor spend.
The Security Services Delivery Manager is accountable for building effective collaboration and communication across organizations for strategic security initiatives and processes. The SSDM partners with departmental leaders to strengthen collaboration, reduce risk and build cohesion across stakeholders. The SSDM develops and leads Organizational Change Management for all key security initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Formalize security technology assessment, selection, and refinement to ensure the most effective investment strategies and operational optimization
- Drive vendor performance and efficiency with key security vendors and VARs
- Minimize network and security technical debt by developing and overseeing a systems lifecycle management program, ensuring timely assessment of emerging solutions and replacement of legacy technologies
- Drive operational improvements by leading assessments, reviews, tabletop exercises and planning activities to refine security processes, tools and incident response procedures.
- Lead and drive collaboration for cross-functional, cybersecurity working group meetings through effective partnering and planning with IT and Product Engineering leadership
- Improve network and security visibility and analytics through the on-going improvement, refinement and reporting of operational KPI's, SLA's and capacity management.
- Drive security requirement information-gathering efforts, security product evaluation and provide stewardship across RFI's, RFC's, POC's and pilot programs.
- Partner and strategize with departmental leaders and technology owners to build effective solutions via solution scoping, planning, and strategic alignment.
- Develop a system to track resource allocation and team utilization metrics to assist in planning and forecasting LOE for short- and long-term priorities.
- Actively contribute to improving operational efficiency within initiatives and programs.
- Demonstrate bi-directional leadership capabilities to ensure strategy formation and strategy implementation is translated between the leadership and operational tiers.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of traverse collaboration via barriers and bridges when operating cross-departmentally to manage strategies, tasks and targets.
- Recognize, manage and communicate risks, issues and impacts across multiple levels of leadership.
- Build executive-level dashboards and reports to communicate progress against security roadmaps across multiple tiers of leadership.
- Define and track quality metrics for collaboration effectiveness and strategic program awareness.
- Assist in the development business-level delivery strategies, program health analysis & internal reporting.
- Coordinate and lead end-user-focused strategic planning and collaboration meetings.

- Minimum of 2 years general understanding of Security governance, risk, and compliance including SOC2 experience required
- Minimum of 2 years' experience with managing a budget and forecasting
- Minimum of 2 years' experience with KPI reporting
- Minimum of 2 years' experience leading RFI/RFP/POC and product selection
- Minimum of 2 years' experience with vendor management
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively to all levels of leadership. top notch presentation and organizational skills
- Excellent time management, planning, and project/initiative execution skills
- knowledge of Organizational Change Management (OCM) desired
