Security Solutions Architect Summary:

RSM is looking to hire a Security Solutions Architect. We are open to hiring this role in any RSM US office location.

The Security Solutions Architect provides vision and leadership while striving to secure enterprise information through providing security requirements, planning and designs for applications and systems. This role will collaborate with IT Governance and other members of IT to prepare policies and standards where applicable. The individual will need to understand the business impacts associated with information security policies and could work with National Office of Risk Management, General Counsel, project teams, IT and the Lines of Business to determine what security measures should be implemented in any given system. This individual will also mentor team members and provide models, templates and principles that are used in enterprise systems.

Essential Duties

• Determine security requirements and identify system integrations by evaluating and understanding business strategies and requirements. Serve as the security expert in application design, cloud, network, mobility and platform (operating systems) efforts. Participate in projects by providing requirements to project teams that comply with enterprise and information Security policies, standards, industry regulations and overall best practices.
• Research and understand the continuously changing security landscape and new requirements these changes bring. Plan and advocate new security technologies, architectures, and products that will support the Technology Trends, Data Privacy and Information Security requirements for the enterprise, clients, business partners and vendors.
• Work with all stakeholders, such as National Office of Risk Management, General Counsel, IT and the Lines of Business and strategic partners to develop and maintain Information Security standards governing the implementation, support and management of all IT systems.
• Participate in the development of the Information Security strategic roadmap through understanding the Information Security framework, collaborating with security teams, identifying security program gaps, and researching security technologies.
• Enhance Information Security team accomplishments and competence by providing technical and procedural guidance for both peers and less experienced team members. Mentor team members by providing a strategic perspective for Information Security requirements, goals and objectives.
• Ensure alignment with IT Architecture frameworks and methodology

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - Required
• CISSP, CISM, or CISA - Preferred
• TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS
• Thorough understanding of Risk management and assessment procedures
• Thorough understanding of enterprise and security architectures
• Thorough understanding of security protocols/methodologies, cryptography, identity and access management
• Strong analytical skills and demonstrated problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

EXPERIENCE

• 8+ years experience in an information security role

LEADERSHIP SKILLS

• Strong Leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with business managers, IY engineering and IT operations staff
• Ability to break down technically complex and ambiguous concepts and rationalize into simple concepts and ideas
• Ability to understand and articulate business imperatives as well as the business impact of security tools, technologies and policies
• Ability to mentor and provide coaching to team members
