Security Specialist

Responsibilities:

In support of Army Security Office (ASO) Army Research and Technology Protection Center (ARTPC), responsibilities include:

• Provide security support in the areas of technology and program protection security, personnel security, information security, OPSEC, and information systems security monitoring
• Participate in IPTs performing Critical Functions Analysis (CFA), Critical Program Information Assessment (CPIA), vulnerability and threat assessments, collection and production requirements development, countermeasures development and evaluation, and security classification determinations, as required in support Army modernization protection efforts.
• Coordinate closely with Intelligence Officers and Security Managers at customer sites to ensure periodic assistance visits and inspections of Government and Defense Contractor facilities where critical programmatic data reside are conducted properly and receive sufficient emphasis on technology protection.
• Support the review and or/assist in the development of S&T PP, PPP, Technology Area Protection Plan (TAPP), or other related security documentation IAW Department of Defense Instructions (DoDIs) 5200.39, 5200.48, 5000.83, and AR 70‐77.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree required or an additional 5 years of experience in security.
• 6 to 8 years of multidisciplinary security experience.
• Experience briefing and interacting up to SES/General Officer level.

 Security Clearance:

•  Active TS with SCI Eligibility.

Bonus Points:

• Experience in Research Technology Protection (RTP) is preferred.
