Job Description
Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide technical expertise in integrating all security disciplines into program security efforts to mitigate risks of compromise, unauthorized disclosure or damage to weapon systems, program/system information, and its components. Develops processes and procedures for weapon system specific protection of Controlled Unclassified Information, Classified Information, and Critical Program Information (CPI).

- Security clearance requirements are based upon actual position being filled. The employee is required to obtain and maintain security clearance commensurate with position sensitivity code.
- Work may occasionally require the employee to work outside the normal business hours.

- The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments
- Promotion potential may be authorized depending upon position being filled.

- Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualification standards for general schedule positions, Administrative and Management Positions
Key Roles:
- Plans, organizes and directs collateral, sensitive compartmental information, and special access program security activities for organization's assigned system programs. Examines security initiatives, protection measures and processes for application across platform, system, and organizational lines.
- Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and Acquisition Security objectives. Researches, interprets, analyzes and applies DoD 5200.1R, DoDD 5200.39, AFPD 63-17. Plans and schedules work in a manner that promotes a smooth flow and even distribution.
- Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors. Advises staff regarding policies, procedures, and directives of higher-level management or headquarters.
- Develops and prioritizes program security and information protection performance goals and mission objectives; develops operating procedures and plans, acquisition security concept and implementation plans; sets overall priorities and objectives for security personnel; assesses progress toward objectives; identifies problems and takes appropriate corrective action; evaluates new concepts and ideas of technical and management importance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Expert in program protection, system security, technology assessment and control, foreign military sales, information, industrial, personnel, and operations security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas.
2. Expert ability in developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the Center Commander.
3. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately.
4. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
5. Knowledge of government contractual practices and requirements for development and purchase of USAF acquisition programs and/or supporting programs/projects. Must be familiar with Defense Industrial Base security organization, operations, and management practices.
