Security Supervisor
Job Description
General Summary
The Security Supervisor is responsible for monitoring security operations and providing protection for employees, company facilities and property, building access and visitor control.
Job Functions
- Create emergency response procedures and implement security protocols to make sure the environment is safe for employees and visitors.
- Conduct security risk assessment, propose solutions and plan for crisis management.
- Manage budget for security operations and monitor expenses.
- Manage scheduling for the security staff.
- Prepare and maintain all required security manuals.
- Plan security operations and direct the activities of security staff for company events.
- Create reports for management on security status.
- Recruit, train and supervise contracted security staff members.
- Conduct internal investigations in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ professional security experience.
- Strong surveillance and emergency response skills, required.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, required.
- Knowledge of security environment, hazards and threats to safety, required.
- Understanding of budgeting, required.
- Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g., CCTV), required.
- Understanding of statistical data analysis, preferred.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, preferred.
- Available for after-hours/weekend emergencies.
