Security Systems Application Engineer

Position Overview 

We are looking for a Security Systems Application Engineer for Netflix. 

This role will be responsible for improving Netflix’s Genetec environment through the research and development of cutting-edge integrations and the testing, redesigning, and implementation of applications that will streamline operations throughout Netflix’s security program. 

This is a full-time fully remote or hybrid office (Los Angeles, New York City, Albuquerque, London, or Madrid) position with competitive benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with 3.5% match, generous PTO, $100/month technology stipend, etc.).

Essential Job Functions

- Lead the research, evaluation, and selection of the latest security systems technology offerings.

- Create technical documentation, workflows, and training guides and lead end user training.

- Improve existing security system deployment by optimizing application features.

- Test applications, respond to Client feedback, and debug designs.

- Conduct requirements gathering and prototyping sessions with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of requirements.

- Manage integrations with 3rd party applications.

- Provide expert level consultation and technical services on all aspects of security systems.

- Lead the research and evaluation of potential upgrades to existing security systems to increase efficiencies.

- Ensure uptime optimization for Netflix’s security systems globally.

- Provide security compliance recommendations.

- Manage the full life cycle of technical projects. 

Required Skills and Experience

- Expert understanding of the following: Genetec Synergis, Genetec Stratocast, and Envoy.

- Genetec Synergis SC-STC-001 certification is required. 

- Genetec Enterprise Advanced SC-ETC-001 certification is preferred.

- Experience with Genetec Synergis in a cloud based environment is preferred.

- 3+ years of experience supporting or leading enterprise wide security applications.

- Technical degree and/or relevant industry/software certifications.

- Experience with cloud based camera analytics. 

- Experience with integrating security systems across various platforms.

- Excellent project management skills with proficiency managing numerous concurrent project deliverables with little supervision.

- Excellent personal communication and diplomacy skills with the ability to work inclusively with others. 

- Proficient with Google Suite.

- Knowledge of IT infrastructure lifecycle management.

- Experience with mobile credentials is a plus.

- Studio production industry experience is a plus. 

- Entertainment/tech industry experience is a plus.
