Here's the Gist :

The Security Systems Project Manager is a member of the Security and Emergency team reporting to the Security Systems Manager. The Security Systems Project Manager also supports all matters involving the Security and Emergency department on an as-needed basis.

The Day-to-Day:
  • Manage on site and remote project resources, documents, finances, and communications
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to properly design security systems
  • Oversee scheduling and installations to ensure quality and timeline requirements are met, including walkthroughs and site surveys as required
  • Represent the Security & Emergency Management department's needs in projects for all company locations
  • Utilize project tracking tools and systems to accurately document milestones, issues, corrective action plans, and overall project completion
  • Conduct all necessary coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors
  • Identify, monitor, report, and escalate project related issues to achieve timely objectives
  • Produce recurring summary reports to management


This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
  • Three (3) years of commercial project management experience
  • Fundamental understanding of security systems: Intrusion detection; physical access control (card reader) systems; CCTV and associated networking; physical barriers, including doors, locks, gates, and turnstiles.
  • Proficiency with automated project management timeline and task-tracking platforms
  • Extensive knowledge of construction project management processes
  • Must be able to evaluate situations and demonstrate sound decision-making under stress
  • High emotional intelligence to effectively engage with all stakeholders
  • Must have strong organizational skills and high level of attention to detail
  • Must be a self-starter and perform with minimal guidance, including after-hours when needed
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal and professional communication skills
  • Must be able to learn and apply new skills
  • Must have the ambition to seek constant improvement
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Flexibility to travel up to 25% annually, including international


Desired Skills / Achievements:
  • Five (5) years of commercial project management experience
  • Advanced understanding of physical access control (card reader) systems; CCTV cameras and associated networking; and physical barriers, including doors, locks, fences, and turnstiles
  • BA/BS degree
  • ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP) designation
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM) certification
  • Experience working in a regulated environment
