Security Systems Specialist (Contractor)

What You’ll Do

Overall support of security technology management, reporting, administration, and operations of the Workplace Solutions Group (WSG). The position will be responsible for managing and leading the security systems and networks and overseeing Samsung's security operations.  

Location: Onsite at our San Jose office/headquarters 5 days a week (required)

• Design, implement, and maintain security systems and networks.
• Lead management of Samsung’s Access Control platform.
• Manage partners/vendors for scheduled maintenance.
• Ensure the integrity and availability of security technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with security systems through creative problem-solving skills.
• In-depth knowledge of security technology and protocols.
• Supplement various aspects of the Security Program as requested.
• Develop and implement safety and security programs to mitigate potential risks.
• Optimize communication and workflow through process documentation and technology utilization.
• Evaluate security programs and conduct risk assessments to ensure compliance with standards.
• Oversee reports, logs, and pass-downs generated by the security vendors.
• Conduct access audits and collaborate with security personnel to resolve issues.
• Stay current with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Review and assist with governance, risk, and compliance processes.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize risks and implement measures to minimize impact.
• Provide direct security management operation support such as vendor management.
• Provide analysis support in reviewing business operations and invoice data with a solid understanding of security management.
• Create and maintain key templates including reports for ad-hoc assignments for team support.
• Provide support in business operations and project review.
• Participate in the development of programs, systems, and projects to increase the efficiency of processes and operations.
• Provide internal process support in submissions related to the security team.
• Manage projects and programs as assigned.
• Communicate and work across teams for collaboration with internal and external groups.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in information technology and security related fields
• At least three years of hands-on experience with security technologies and tools, and extensive experience in designing and implementing security systems.
• Advanced skills with software and hardware security solutions.
• Proven experience applying and assessing common security and control frameworks.
• Excellent in report building and basic Excel skills.
• Familiarity with security operations, facilities, coordination, administrative, and office services functions, with direct experience in a workplace department preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Vendor-specific certifications for security systems (e.g., Cisco CCNP Security).
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
• Proficient with computer software programs including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
• Work well under pressure and within time constraints in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multi-task with attention to details
• Ability to build relationships with both internal and external customers
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Capable of working with ambiguity and change
