Cloud and Network Services

As Nokia's growth engine, we create value for communication service providers and enterprise customers by leading the transition to cloud-native software and as-a-service delivery models. Our inclusive team of dreamers, doers and disruptors push the limits from impossible to possible.

You'll have the opportunity to work with key security leads in our organization. This opportunity places you in the midst of a team working to align security procedures and tools used to left shift (move earlier in development process) the discovery of security vulnerabilities and risks.

Education Recommendations

Currently a candidate for bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science or related field with an accredited school in US.

What you will learn and contribute to

We are looking for a Summer intern with a career interest in Cloud and Network security of software applications.

As part of our team, you will:

• Collaborate with and contribute to a security team that is responsible for evaluating the security hardening and security compliance level of Nokia software applications
• Write scripts to automate CIS Benchmark recommendations as part of our effort to automate security testing
• Gain knowledge of Software container deployment and testing. You will develop to a level of practical proficiency with Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Work with Penetration Testers and gain ethical hacking training/experience
• Work to evaluate leading API security compliance tools

What is Nokia looking for from me

You have:

• Past successful software programming project experience (E.g., C, C++, Javascript) languages and scripting languages (E.g., Python, Gherkin)
• Experience with Linux OS, ability to download and install software packages. Hands on experience with Gitlab and/or Github.
• Preferred security tools experience should include: CIS Cat-Pro, Nessus/Tenable.IO, Invicti, Burp Suite, Anchore, Prisma, Defensics, and NMAP

It would be nice if you also had:

• Experience with Penetration Testing or ethical hacking
• Experience with webpages, Sharepoint, or Atlassian Confluence and/or wiki markup language.
